Good Gentles ALL;

Where and When

Once again it is time for the demonstration at the Arlington Public Library to be held on November 4 th .The demo runs from noon until 5 pm Set up begins at 9 am. I will be there by 8 am if anyone wants to come early. We will be outside again at the Levitt Pavilion which is across from City Hall on the south side at the corner of Abrams and Pecan Street. We will have unloading on Pecan Street and then you must park kitty corner at the city hall parking lot. (another good idea to come early because parking is limited and far away). We cannot park in the church lot as of this time and the Mission Arlington lot is also not an option. Street parking is very limited and the next lot is over three blocks away.

We need people to help out with set up, tear down, displays, arts /crafts of all kinds and help to calligraph the children’s name on scrolls. Fighters of both styles and all ages are needed. If you have one of “those projects” that you never can find the time to do; Please feel free to bring it and spend time with your friends, share your knowledge, help attract new members and get that project done. Porta potties are on the site and there is no running water. No electricity. The field is nicely covered in grass. The stage is not part of the area we will be using. The library will have story time for children on it.

Some rules and guidelines: NO driving anything into the ground, there is an underground sprinkler system they are protecting. Please bring table coverings and make every effort to hide “modern”. I will have water and Gatorade, tea and areas to hid wagons, and baggage, change clothes etc. Luncheon material for sandwiches will be provided and some donuts for the early crew during set up, Bring your own coffee! Come have fun and help us grow and put a good face on our group.

Merchants are welcome but YOU MUST contact David Jackson at 806 368 1150 to be screened and may need a city permit $25. Food vendors must get /have food handlers’ permit and city license. We will have an area for merchant row but will not be able to provide pop ups for you sorry.

We will also be having and raffle type situation for visitors with donations, NO GARAGE SALE REJECTS. Items do not have to be SCA only, but dual is better. Mugs, jewelry, fabric, trim, etc. .are fine. Contact information from the visitors will be provided for follow up contact for recruitment purposes.

Please contact me if you have any questions and if you are going please let me know so I know how many tables and shelters to set up and can plan the layout more efficiently.

Yours in service;
